The Richard Mille RM 67-02 Fernando Alonso F1 Prototype embodies one of Richard Mille's most distinctive concepts: complex mechanical architecture combined with an exceptionally light and flexible wearing experience. Measuring approximately 38.7 × 47.5 mm, only 7.8 mm thick and weighing approximately 37–38 g, it delivers unmistakable visual presence while feeling remarkably light on the wrist.
The version selected by D.Time focuses on faithfully recreating the defining qualities of the RM 67-02: an ultra-light composite case, multi-layer skeleton architecture, CRMA7-style movement, sapphire crystal and elastic strap — creating a strong balance between appearance, wrist feel and mechanical experience.
Weight is one of the defining characteristics of the RM 67-02. At approximately 37–38 g, the timepiece feels remarkably light from the moment it is placed on the wrist.
The slim 7.8 mm case works together with the elastic strap to keep the timepiece close and secure. Its low mass also reduces inertia during movement, creating a flexible and unobtrusive wearing experience that reflects the sports-focused philosophy behind the RM 67-02.
The case uses a Carbon/Quartz TPT-style composite construction, with its layered structure producing distinctive patterns across the surface. This configuration contributes to the exceptionally low overall weight while recreating the technical material aesthetic strongly associated with Richard Mille.
Given the complexity of the RM 67-02 case, D.Time pays particular attention to overall proportions, case geometry, consistency of the composite pattern, finishing around the bezel and crown, screw alignment and integration between the case and strap.
Rather than using a conventional dial, the RM 67-02 is built around a skeleton architecture that exposes the movement, bridges, indexes and multiple mechanical elements underneath, creating significant visual depth from different viewing angles.
This open construction also makes finishing particularly visible. D.Time evaluates dial cleanliness, index positioning, bridge finishing, hands, printing and the overall balance of the skeleton layout to ensure that its mechanical complexity remains clean and visually coherent.
Inside is a CRMA7-style automatic movement operating at 28,800 vph / 4 Hz. Its architecture works within the slim proportions of the RM 67-02 while retaining the convenience of automatic winding for everyday use.
In a skeleton timepiece, the movement is also an integral part of the visual design. D.Time therefore evaluates not only mechanical operation but also winding performance, crown operation, movement stability and the finishing of components visible through the open architecture.
The sapphire crystal provides a clear view into the multi-layer skeleton construction, allowing the mechanical depth underneath to remain visually defined. This is particularly important on the RM 67-02, where much of its visual character comes directly from the exposed architecture inside the case.
The blue elastic strap continues the lightweight philosophy of the design. Its flexible construction conforms naturally to the wrist, helps keep the timepiece stable during movement and contributes to a lighter wearing experience than a conventional bracelet or substantial rubber strap.
The strength of this version comes from how its complete configuration works together: approximately 38.7 × 47.5 mm dimensions, a slim 7.8 mm profile, approximately 37–38 g total weight, composite case, skeleton architecture, CRMA7-style automatic movement and elastic strap.
The result faithfully recreates two defining characteristics of the RM 67-02: the mechanical complexity associated with Richard Mille combined with an exceptionally light, slim and flexible wearing experience. These are also the key qualities D.Time prioritizes when selecting a 1:1 version of the Fernando Alonso F1 Prototype.
Each Timepiece is individually inspected by D.Time before delivery, with detailed photos and videos of The Exact Timepiece You Will Receive.
